More perhaps that any other subject in economics, urban economics is about the environment in which we lead our daily lives. This problem set is unconventional in that it asks you to think quantitatively about a particular city, Denver. The exercise is aimed to give you experience at tracking down data on-line, and also at coming up with ballpark estimates. A quantitative answer will be judged correct if it is between one-half to double the correct value. For some of the questions, you can readily find the correct answer on- line; for others, the correct answer can be found on-line with a bit of detective work; for yet others, data are available at the country or state level, but not for the City itself (in which case, you should make an educated guess about how the Denver data would differ from the national or state data). • victimization rates is mesurement of occurence of victimization among 1000 household or population 12 years and oder. The crime rate is gross rate of crime among population.
• The ratio of the population older than 65 is 11.1% where as the national avarage for the same data is 15% as of 2016. Then the ratio of the population older than 65 is lower in the city.
• The ratio of the population younger than 20 is 20.3% while the national average is 22.8%. Then ratio of the population younger than 20 is  lower in the city.
• Population in 2010 was 600158, taht rose to a estimated 693060 in 2016. The increase in population was 15.5% higher in 2016 than it was in 2010.
