I followed a lot of Bob Knowling’s recommendations, and I find it a must-read even for real-life scenarios. Despite limited working with the machine in the simulation process, it made me think about creating possible scenarios from management messages and understanding psychological implications.

Borrowing Bob Knowling’s gems to the non-profit sector, the factors like weaker evaluation processes, along with the widely used logic model, hierarchical structures, it would be interesting on how much it would be useful. Addressing the (Tichy, 1997) “operating system,”with established mindsets, the question for the sector measuring outcomes in narratives and other higher structural factors. Being sector-specific, I wonder what Bob Knowling’s response would be to (Tichy, 1997)“How do you take stodgy, old, bureaucratic, entitled companies and make them competitive enterprises?”

Scrounging or networking mentality should be maintained. The corporations should do away with non-wow factors and replace with the ‘wow’ factors which are more attractive and can make profits. The corporations should move towards excellence and make a brand out of their organizations. Branding is very important. The structural reformations of the bureaucracies should be done in such a way that there is innovation and competitive outcomes are guaranteed. They should strive for excellence, i.e. high quality and only then competitiveness will loop into the scenario.

as per Bob Knowling these are the recommendations for bureaucracy to be transformed into competitive set up. It is like reinventing themselves.
