Answer #1

In her books, The Sea Around US(1951) and Silent Spring(1962) Rachel Carson attempted to alert the nation about the adverse effects on the environment of the indiscriminate use of pesticides. Rachel Carson, environmental pioneer raised the alarm about the harmful effect of pesticides. This inspired an environmental movement in United States which led to the creation of the Environmental Protection Agency. The new policies targeted to protect our water, our air, and, ultimately, our health and safety. It improved focus on green chemistry practices and the public’s heightened support for sustainability in all environmental areas of the lives.
