Is divine king of Rights the same as an absolutist?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Divine king of rights and absolutist, both gives rights to the king that is absolute in nature. In this sense, both are similar to each other. But, divine king of rights as a doctrine, asserts that rights to rule and power is granted to king by the God itself and it is not dependent of the will of the community that is being ruled. Such proposals made by the divine king of rights are one one part of the scope by absolutist approach. So, it should be said that both are not exactly same, rather one version of absolutist is regarded as same as divine king of rights.
