Answer #1

Coordination in economics refers to the coordination of all the evonomic activities of the economic sector to get a higher economic value. The 2008-09 financial crisis was considered the worst after the great depression of 1930. It was claimed that the economic crisis can be only overcomed with co ordinated efforts because the economy is not formed by one or two individuals rather it is formed by all the individuals, business entities etc. They help in the economic growth together by contributing their share to the economy. Thus it was seen that subprime mortgage crisis was leading to the crisis of the banks and thus financial support of the economy as whole was needed. The co ordinated response will always be forthcoming when such crisis hits again. And to prevent such crisis from happening the government made further policies to avoid it and have a better economic balance.

Economic profits have risen in the US economy since the financial crisis of 2008. Among the four economic structures we are currently studying, the models of pure competition and monopolistic competition predict that in such an environment we will observe competitive firms emerging to capture a share of these increased profits, but then for there to be an eventual return to normal profit levels. Instead, we have observed increased consolidation and, hence, increased ownership concentration over the past decade. This...

The fallout from the financial crisis of 2008 included an overheated real estate market, fueled by home purchase incentives, poor lending practices, and securitization through high-risk, mortgage-backed securities, which led to a near collapse of global capital markets. As a consequence, many have argued that if the financial institutions had been required to report their loans (and loan-backed investments) at fair value instead of cost, large losses would have been reported earlier. This would have signaled regulators to the problems...
