Age discrimination can lead to decline in employee productivity in both aggregate as well as individual level in the following ways.
1) Age discrimination might lead to recruiters not hiring more experienced and productive workforce. This would hamper aggrgate employee productivity.
2) An older employee would feel discriminated against and be unable to make full contribution to her/his team. This could come in the form of self-imposed restriction on group brainstorming sessions.
