Yes  16 and 17 years old teenagers should be allowed to vote in US federal election because at the age of 16 years, they are considered as part of working age population, so if the teenagers can work full time to earn and contribute the economy in terms of their productivity as well as taxes, then they should also have right to vote to choose their political leaders who make policies for how to use the taxes.

16 and 17 years are mature enough to take these decsions to vote. I agree they might have limited knowledge about politics , but it is also the right age to enter to learn about the policitics and this should also be teach in the schools to better prepare them for vote at early age.
