Why was Hostess struggling prior to the strike and do you believe the union or management is more responsible for the downfall of the company?
Hosteless was loosing its shares and sales were continously falling down , people were not much in love with tastes of the snacks. Simply due to poor peformance , it was struggling and made an announcement to lay of its workers. Union of Teamsters narrowly accepted the contract while Baker's union called for a strike and thus it was a dramatic end of the company who had nothing to gain , had a huge debt and flawed contracts. The management i would say was more responsible , as the revenue was not being generated to keep the operations going.
