ans 1=The distinction between exaggeration & false advertising is the difference between licit promotion & unlawful marketing claims. Puffery is a lawful method of promoting a commodity thru hyperbole / oversized declarations which can't be objectively verified. In contrast, false advertising happens when factually deceitful statements are utilized to promote a commodity. For instance, stating that a vehicle gets 35 miles / gallon when it really just gets 30 mpg is deceitful advertising.
