1) The formula for productivity is

where Output is number of written pages and input is number of hours spent on writing those pages.

Thus, Mercy's Productivity = 20/15 = 1.33

Jack's Productivity = 15/8 = 1.875

2) This type of productivity is known as single factor productivity. Its main drawback is its exclusion of quality. It does not assess the quality of work while assessing.
