The histogram represents frequency distribution. when frequency distribution is symmetric then histogram appears as the mirror image of one another. But when frequency distribution is not symmetric then histogram represent skewed distribution.

A skewed distribution means nonsymmetric distribution. For this type of distribution, it is common to have one tail distribution. That is either right tail or left tail distribution. When the tail is on the right side is called skewed right and in this case Mean>Median>Mode.

When the tail is on the left side is called skewed left and in this case Mode>Median>Mean.
