Present international trade pattern is Free Trade where goods and service exchanged between the two countries with minimum restrictions the benefits of the free trades are follows.

• It promotes division of labors and specialization].
• The economic resources of the countries better utilized
• The consumers are benefited due to low price and consumer has more choice of the goods
• It contributes GDP of the country example exporting the goods means income to the country.

Thus above case shows that free trade has more benefits than protectionist policy.In the context of US protectionist tariffs is not desirable unless country facing the inflation or BOP deficit or collapse of domestic industries.
