Yes, I value the medical outcomes, and service outcomes. In a competitive environment the evidentiary basis for measuring patient satisfaction and service quality is important. Measuring medical outcomes helps us while making decisions on how to best care for our patients and outcome measures allows predicting the patients who might gain or loss most from a specific intervention. For example: percentage of patients who survived because of the surgery (rates of surgical mortality). Outcome measures can act as significant tools for guiding the decision making. But these measures that may seem to indicate the “gold standard” in quality measurements; however an outcome is due to other numerous factors, many beyond the control of providers’.
