Answer #1

Organisation of part time employees is a tideous task for union due to the following reasons.

1) High turnover : Part time employees are usually the students/migrators looking to make some quick cash to satisfy their urgent basic needs. Such employees, hence, keep switching jobs in shorter time spans than full time employees.

2) Cost of training : Since the turnover for part time employees is high and, their per day time of service is also less than a full time employee, it becomes a steep cost for businesses to train new hires joining work on part time basis.

3) Lack of experience : In mojaority of cases, part time employees lack the maturity and experience of working in corporate/ business heirarchy as they are students/migrants looking for a steady per hour paycheck rather than looking for valuable work experiance.
