If a used automobile salesperson convinces a potential buyer to purchase additional warranty insurance, which he knows is not necessary, but does so for a higher commission as a result, this personifies consequentialism. true or false
False ;
as consequentialism is when we tend to judge an action by analysing it's consequences i.e. whether the action is right or wrong as per it's ethical consequence.
In this case the salesperson is somewhere deceiving the consumer as he is falsely representing the need of additional warranty insurance which he himself knows is of no such benefit but is doing to increase his own commission which is unethical means of gains. Making it violate the true essence of consequentialism.
