How does the perspective of political culture orient politics in the US? Does it expand the relationship between “the People” and government or narrow it?

Political culture is something that describes how culture impacts politics. The political culture of US has been influenced by early immigrants. The important elements of US political culture are equality i.e. giving equal opportunity to all, democracy ie. For the people, of the people & by the people, liberty ie. freedom etc.

All the political subcultures in the US aims at have egalitarianism, indivialism and hierachy as defining culture which aims at providing basic values of liberty, equal opportunity and enhancement of civic duty ie. Citizens have the responsibility of understanding & supporting the government, this narrowing the relationship between government and people.
