  1. If the marginal product of labor declines from the very start (first labor), in one graph, draw the MC, ATC, and AVC curves.

Homework Answers

Answer #1

While making MC , ATC ,and AVC curve we need to mention some points.

* As marginal product of labour decline from starting ,so All three curve will be increasing from start or in other words they all will be strictly increasing.

* MC curve will always above AVC.

* ATC=AVC+AFC, shows ATC will always above AVC but as quantity Increases ,the gap between them Decreases but both Never intersect each other.

* At quantity =1 , MC = ATC

Calculate ATC, AFC, AVC, and MC as a function of Q and produce a graph of the ATC, AFC, AVC, and MC curves as a function of Q. (Again, use xy graph, connect the points, and make sure these curves are all on the same graph.  Also, since ATC, AFC, AVC, and MC are not defined at Q=0, start your graph using Q=1, not Q=0.)

Which is accurate regarding marginal cost? Group of answer choices It is equal to ATC for the first unit produced It falls in the range of output where diminishing returns to labor occur it is falling as Q begins to rise (in the MC diagram) because the marginal product is rising from division of labor benefits it is shown in a diagram with labor on the horizontal axis

Explain please once answered. Adding a variable input (labor) to a fixed input (capital) will result in an increase in output: Until the marginal product of labor is maximized. Until the average product of labor begins to fall. Until the marginal product of labor is becomes 0. As a firm adds labor beyond the point of diminishing returns: Total output continues to rise Total output is maximized Total output remains constant When q = 100, ATC is 10 and AVC...
