An adaptive cycle theory is adapted for understanding the changes in the city of Barcelona, Spain from 1953 till present.For better explanations, there are two phases .In the front phase, financial and natural resources were exploited by private developers ,politicians for promoting capital accumulation .On the other hand, Second phase discusses Barcelona's heterogeneous urban social movements like neighborhood associations ,cooperatives and NGOs whose objectives are diverse but converge with the K phase and their desire for common good which includes social justice ,and wellbeing for all.
