US foreign policy has undergone significant change after the 9/11. Following are changes:

• Focus on war: Now US is focusing on eliminating terrorism. It was not in its focus before the 9-11 incidence.
• Preventive actions: Now US is using its preventive action to control the terrorism. US involved in Afghan war to control over the Taliban.

But there are still lot of instances which show the contradictions in US commitment. Pakistan has been involved in many terrorist activities such as Taliban, further Osama Bin Laden has been caught in military region of Pakistan. But still US has not taken any strict actions against Pakistan.

Now US has moved towards the dealing with terrorism and other issues which are inimical peace of world.
