Answer #1

Most African American families were denied the opportunity to buy homes in Levittown and in the other thousands of subdivisions like it across the country. They were forced to live as renters or in depressed neighborhoods. Other families were bought into less desirable neighborhoods.

Due to this reason, African Americans could'nt gain equity from their proeprties. This lack of equity accumulation prevented many from advancing to the middle class.

White working class families were allowed to buy home in Levittown and those who bought homes in 1948 have gained over three generations over more than $ 200,000 in wealth .This also resulted for the reason that why do African Americans holds less wealth than the white people.

Thankyou, Hope it helped. Do leave a thumbsup

Cheers
