The first condition is that the worker should be willing and able to work which includes fitness and health. Otherwise it is considered voluntarily unemployed

The second condition is that the worker must had a job in the past

Third condition is that the worker must not have been responsible for the job loss which implies that the job loss must have occurred due to business cycle fluctuation and not performance related

The fourth condition is that the worker should have worked for a certain period, before applying for the unemployment benefit scheme which is generally knows as the base period.
