Strengths:

1. The information could be collected from a lot of people in cost-efficient manner,i.e., it increases the reachablilty and reduces the cost.

2. The result thus generated can be generalized to a large population, because survey are done in sample. It is not possible in experimental.

3. Reliability of data increases, i.e., the biasness of experimental research is reduced.

Weakness:

1. The survey method is inflexible, compared to experimental research, where you can change the questions as per the surroundings.

2. Standardization and generalization of surveys reduce the depth study of the topic, as is possible in experimental research.
