1.4 Many times you can encounter consumers who may be frustrated with you as a worker to the point that they stop seeing you, ask for a new worker, fire you or terminate services. Since consumers have the right to self-determination then you need to respect their ability to indicate if they want to stay involved in services and with whom. Challenges present themselves when you are working with a consumer and their family indicates a dissatisfaction with the services provided. What steps would you need to take to address these concerns with the family and the consumer?
