When Google first came out in 2000, it offered its search engine as a “beta product” for about two years. Google was on a testing period for years as Google wanted to know what changes it can bring to improve its website. It collected the data for the first two years what exactly the citizens want from it and as soon as they got to know all the requirements which could help Google launch its first full version. So Google got to know all the flaws it had back then. Sundar Pichai is now the CEO of Google and it owns more than 50 companies including Alphabet as the parent company.

Main reasons Google launched beta product for about two years :

  • To get to know all the flaws and improvements
  • to get to know the bugs which needed to be fixed
