Target® is a large retailer with about 1,500 stores in the United States, but very few in other countries, such as Australia. It has a reputation for merchandising thousands of chic yet inexpensive products for the home; including apparel, furniture, electronics, toys and sporting goods. Management wants to open stores in major European cities but will have limited floor space there. Target hires you as a consultant to decide which products to offer in Europe. Write a brief report in which you describe the selection criteria you will use and offer some examples to back up your ideas.

Students will first note the chosen locations (major European cities), and then refer to the characteristics that Target should apply to the various product lines. Those characteristics include products that:

  1. Sell well in the domestic market
  2. Cater to universal needs
  3. Address a need not well served in particular foreign markets
  4. Address a new or emerging need abroad.

Students should also address buyer characteristics and describe the primary and secondary data they should use for investigating this.

Management wants to open store in European city witb limited space then they have to start a business in sporting goods because you can actually become a millionaire by starting a sport related business.

I would advice to start basketball related business in any part of the word, whose title you can give "one stop shop".

From there people can purchase all their basketball wares and materials like basketballs , jerseys, sport shoes, hand bands, headband , and all what not.

Just ensure that you choose a good location for your basketball sport shop and you won't struggle to make daily sales.
