Answer : Urbanisation means the population shift from rural to urban area . The way in which the society become modern and resulted in physical growth of an economy. There are various reasons which shows that Urbanisation is lead to economic geography as follows:

• It is related to transformation of the human roots and bring changes in human social root on a large geography level.
• Modernisation has been adopted which bring changes in rural area.
• Linkage of transportation facilities helps in overall development of economic geography .
• Industrialisation give birth to urbanisation .
• It causes proportional increases in an economy size.
• Discovered new resources
• Changes in transportation facilities available to them.

This shows that urbanisation plays an important role in the economic geography as well as economic growth of an country.
