Homework Answers

Answer #1

Answer - Major Ridge supported the cherokees and their culture. He along with John Ross wanted to establish a separate nation for these so that they could practise their culture in a good manner there. They wanted that the whites and cherokees should live together in a peaceful manner whereby the culture of no party is to be harmed. They were in full support of the cherokee nation. In this regard they created a new national capitol for this tribe at New Echota in Georgia.
