In your opinion, why do you think business customers are generally more rational in their purchasing behavior than end consumers? Can you provide an example?
Yes business customers are those customers who generally purchase raw materials or other goods for business organization purpose .
Business to business transactions (for example ;IBM purchases processors from intel )are made under assumptions of reducing cost of bulk purchases . So,it should be a rational decision where mathematical margins might be calculated to take competitive advantage .
This will not be the case of a end user who will purchase goods for his own consumption . End user generally focus on his need according to his purchasing power with utility and quality. While business customers want long term benefits , competitive advantage , quality etc. Business customers act for long term goals while end user act for short term goals.
