In “The Communist Manifesto” Marx is not proposing Communism; rather he advocates a form of socialism. In your opinion, what are the similarities and differences between these two ideologies? Your answer should address both the political and economic appeal of Marx’s writings.

Communism and socialism tend to promote equality and eliminate social classes.

However in communist society the working class own everything and everyone works towards achieving common goal, no rich no poor, the community distributes what it produces based on needs.

In socialism however, main focus is on equality however workers produce as per their needs and not towards common goal.Here the economic implications of both are different as per Marxs writings that one theory serves completely towards common goal while other serves towards individual welfare.

Both are similar only towards generating equality.
