The biggest similiarities ibserved in all the four crashes and recessionary periods are that the US Fed adopted an expansionary monetary policy by cutting interest rates sharply to inject sufficient liquidity into market.

However differences observed were that the 1929 Great Depression saw 25 years kf recovery for stock market crash, 2 years in 1987 Black Monday, approximately 1.5 years for 2000 dotcom bubble crash, and lastly 3 years approximately for 2008 Great Recession.
