Amongst an array of various issues I feel global warming and climate change is the most pertinent issue right now. This is going to affect each living creature's life eventually. Starting from disappearance of glaciers or forests there is a signinficant increase in surface temperature.

There is intergovernmental panel on climate change which has representatives from different countrues apart from US. What a government can possibly do to control the situation-

1.promote the use of renewable sources of energy

2.support fuel efficiency to reduce oil use

3.strictly keep a check at deforestation

4.power plants should be prohibited to dump the pollution into the atmosphere..

I feel government of each country is doing a fair job in raising awareness and also keeping a check at pollution level and there are regular meet ups of the scientists with the government representatives.
