1. Job creation in October was much more robust than most forecasters had predicted, but the number of people either working or looking for work increased even more sharply. What is happening to the unemployment rate? Should this news be viewed as positive or negative? Why?

In spite of creating more than the forecasted jobs it was evident that the total number of people looking for jobs has increased. This is an indicative figure which proves that unemployment rate has increased when considering people activy looking for jobs or can also be understood as people looking out for better opportunities than they are currently in.

This is an indicative figure that unemployment rate has sharply increased. This is both positive and negative. It is a negative sign from government's perspective since it has to create lot more jobs than forecasted and positive from the job seekers perspective since they are getting more job opportunities than expected.
