European slave trade began in 15th century and continued upto the 19th century. Many European powers started slave trade from Africa to European countries. It is estimated that over 15 million slaves were migrated from Africa to European countries. UK was major power involved in slave trade.

European power occupied lands from natives of American and demand for cheap labor increased significantly. Hence, these European powers resorted to mass migration of slaves from Africa.

Mirgration of slave increased expoitation of slaves significantly and no rights and facilities were preserved for them.
