TARP also called asTroubled Asset Relief Program which is a program initiated by the US Government to buy Toxic Assets from Financial Institutions.

Some issues with TARP were:

  • It made things worse
  • The scheme modelled called European financial stability facility which is adopted all over has undermined bank stocks.
  • TARP compelled USA banks to take unwanted high cost capital injections.
  • TARP contributed to the crisis of September to October 2008.

Encourage Risks which threatened Financial Institutions.
