As the racism in the country of the United States is declining , there is no need of Historically Black colleges and Universities. These should be shut down gradually.

According to the Higher Education Act of 1965, HBCU refers to any historically black college or university that was established prior to 1964 and whose principal mission was and is education of black Americans.

Answer 3:

It helped in raising the standard of living of freed slaves because education imparted in these universities helped them to get good jobs and thus improve their standard of living.

Answer 4:

They would have remained uneducated during that time and thus it would become impossible for them to improve their and theirs family's standard of living.
