Answer #1

Poverty for me is biggest social issue. It is an evil that needs to be removed permanently from earth. It results in millions of deaths due to malnutrition, starvation etc. It also results in social problems like higher crime rate. World has progressed much but due to unequal distribution of income and resources poverty is still there. Policymakers believe in trickle down effects of growth but in reality it has failed. There is more talk about poverty than action.

Bullying in general, and cyberbullying in particular, has received a lot of attention in the media in the last few years. Do you think that cyberbullying is more/less/equally harmful than bullying of the past? Do you think the attention to this issue is successfully changing children's behaviour? Finally, do you think that some of the "zero-tolerance" towards bullying behaviour in schools is too extreme (i.e., interpreting disagreements or typical kids' fights as bullying)?
