Haiti revolution was emerged within the America by the slaves, and huge outrage waa there by african slaves who gradually formed a majority colony in united states. After this revolution when America was Haiti independent,it was easier for american merchants to trade and this paved way for economic growth.

America gained at the end of Spanish American war, they manages to gain the whole possession of the island which benifitted US in trade and tourism but later on America made that island the autonomous.

Similarities is of different colonies were established within America.
