Intellectual property helps a multinational enterprise to keep it's business ideas and invention safe from being copied by the competitors. Intellectual property rights include copyright, trademark, patent, and trade secrets.

Additional enhancement mechanism that may be added in intellectual property guidelines:

• An enhancement mechanism should be added in which an enterprise can extend its property rights such as copyright and trademark.
• There should be less paper work and focus more on providing safety to the enterprise.
• Company should have a separate department to look after it's intellectual property rights and make sure that it is being protected and no one knows copying the Enterprise's contents/ ideas.
