Germany is one of the countries in Europe that has handled the CoronaVirus with relatively better and quick policy action that has resulted in lower economic loss. While some of the other countries like Italy and Spain had ling lockdowns and a breakdown of health and political system, German gained worldwide acclaim for its actions. As a result, the drop in economic growth in Germany is not likely to be great as compared to the average drop across Europe. In the medium run, the improved image worldwide induces stability that is always an attraction for capital flows. Thus, overall Germany has gained an edge over others in terms of economic performance and attracting investment for the fututre after the pandemic.
