As an American and global citizen, do you feel the United States should officially recognize this event as a genocide to put pressure on the Turkish government to do the same? Yes, the Turkish government must be made to realise the actual facts going on in their neighbouring countries and should recognise as genocide, else this could lead to huge attacks in the future as well in all the countries. Yes, doing so would hurt the relations of an important ally but this can be r restored in a matter of time but if this was not taken seriously, anything could happen which cannot be accounted.
