How did the "Dust Bowl" influence the economy in this country? What image, from our eText, did you find had the most impact on you about the events of the Depression and Dust Bowl?

Dustbowl is an environmental phenomenon that hits northern plain of US in mid-1930s. It occurs due to severe water shortage and harsh farming techniques. The lack of rain destroyed the crop and when winds blew. they raised enormous clouds of wind which gets deposited on house, causes pneumonia in children and suffocated livestock. Crop price fell below subsistence level. This further aggravates Great depression.

It actually teaches you a lesson that the role of government is very important in an economy. Only expansionary fiscal policy can bring economy out of great depression and effect of dust bowl.
