Explanation -
The Japanese distribution system includes many small scale firms i.e.wholesale and retail.It includes many layers or levels of wholesellers. Therefore the length and coverage of distribution channel in Japan is large. It is a strong link between producers,, manufacturers, wholesellers and retailers. Manufacturers dominates very channels and there is symbioitic and strong relationship among all them. so the price of consumer product includes profit margin of all these middlemen of distribution channel.so it resulted in to high prices of consumer products in Japan.
