This statement is false. Only the Supreme Court is mentioned in the Constitution. Supreme courts have more authority than appellate courts. The US Supreme Court is the highest authority. The decisions made by appeals courts are reviewed by Supreme Court. The Supreme Court head the judicial branch of the federal government. It is the only court specifically created by the Constitution. Congess set up other Federal Courts. The United States Supreme Court may review the decisions of the highest State Courts that involve the U.S. Constitution or acts of Congress. Many states have intermediate appellate courts, which serve as appeals courts which help in reducing the workload for the state Supreme Court.
