Homework Answers

Answer #1

Option 1 - Iceland

Explanation : The five most forest rich countries (the Russian Federation, Brazil, Canada, the United States of America and China) account for more than half of the total forest area. Brazil, Indonesia, and Nigeria had the largest net forest loss between 2010 and 2015. Russia, the world's largest country by area has the largest forest cover. It is one of the rare countries that have seen an increase in forest cover since 1990. More than 20% of the world's untouched forests are in the Russian Federation. At the time of human settlement about 1140 years ago , birch forest and woodland covered at least 25% of Iceland's land area.
