There is an average 7% rate of return for a degree. There are other benefits too. College graduates report being happier and more satisfied with their work. A college education is so much more than just a ticket to a better career.

College degree still worth the investment, data suggest. Despite rising tuition and falling wages, college graduates continue to earn far more over a lifetime than a worker with no more than a high school diploma, an analysis of four decades of federal data shows.
