Race is associated with biology while ethnicity is related to culture.Races are genetically distinct populations within the same species and Ethnicity is the term for the culture of people in a given geographic region, including their language, heritage, religion and customs.

In the US race and social class play the pivotal role of nation building, create a sense of harmony and brotherhood with plural society where people from different race and social class exist. Due to this heterogeneity of US society Barack Obama elected as President though he belong to African race which is minority race ac compare to white.
