A strong correlation exists between poverty and corruption. As the growth of an economy falls when the corruption rises, it tends to affect the poorer section of the society and deepens it. Whereas, poverty is known to be one of the reasons due to which corruption occurs. These does not only affects the individuals but also the businesses. More and more corruption weakens an economy and mainly degrades the political section of the nation. Thus, poverty and corruption are correlated and this makes all the other options invalid.
