In your current situation (student, employee, business owner, or consumer – whatever best defines you), what would be in your best interest: a strong U.S. dollar or a weak U.S. dollar? Provide an example of how the strong/weak dollar in the foreign exchange market benefits you.

In the current situation i.e. Student and a consumer, I would prefer the Us dollar to be strong.

A stronger Us dollar will lead to cheaper imports in the country and make the imported goods cheaper. It would include goods like Petrol or Gas, various consumer goods like iPhone and computers which the Us imports from China. It will also make other imported goods like garments and Wines cheaper.

As a consumer and a student a strong Dollar benefits me enormously. If the dollar is weak all these imports will cost much higher affecting by purchasing power.
