Ans:-The Federal Reserve or the Fed is the Central Bank of US.The Federal Reserve or the Central bank of US is not owned by anyone.It was established by 23rd December 1913 under the federal reserve act.The federal reserve is the central controlling authority of monetary system.Maximizing employment,stabilizing price are under federal reserve instruction.The federal system have many layers.It is governed by the presidentially appointed board of governers,otherwise known as federal reserve board.It is not owned by any one that means it is not completely or fully controlled by anyone.The board of governers of Fed is an assistance of the federal government.Even if the federal reserve is an instrument of the US government ,it is an independent central bank because its policies do not have to be permitted by the US president or any one else in the other branches of government.
