Should government decrease the weed taxes why or why not

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Yes,government should decrease weed taxes. When government raised and imposed high taxes on weed, people started purchasimg it from illegal market. This increased illegal activities and sales of weed sold in legal market decreased. Government was not gaining any revenue funds on weed due to high taxes. The weed products sold in illegal market are not pure and quality maeasures are not followed during production. This might cause various health issues to people who are consuming it.So,if taxes are decreased on weed, then illegal market can be eradicated. There will be another source of earning funds as government can gain funds from selling weed with low taxes. If taxes are decreased, government can inspect whether all measures are followed during production of weed or no.Therefore, taxes on weed can be decreased to some extent, but there are still many drawbacks.
